I was intrigued by the color scheme and the fact that there weren’t words screaming at me on the cover. There are a lot of descriptions and the writing truly sets the mood, even if I’m completely confused by what is happening.Īlso the cover of the book drew me in. I thought that maybe the book I picked out to be ‘okay’ might actually surprise me. This book’s prologue starts out dark and gritty and interesting. There are people introduced for no purpose other than to tell us they committed suicide. There are actually more than 27 names dropped into this book. I kind of skimmed past this, hoping it was just characters and not POVs. Maybe one or two incidental characters along the way. The two guys and the girl they are looking for. From the synopsis I was expecting maybe 3 main characters. I’ll get to that later.īefore the book even starts we get a “bibliography” of all the characters in the story. That being said, I did not finish this book (stopped at 65%). You are entitled to your opinion just as I am entitled to mine. I’m going to stay true to my original feelings concerning this book. That being said, I am re-writing my review, again. I have sugar-coated my actual response to this book in an effort to ‘keep the peace.’ I just don’t feel like I can leave my review as is because I’m lying about this book. I keep coming back to this review because I’m unhappy with what I’ve written.
